We had a fantastic week recording the “Modern Tales“ album at Radio France Studios in Paris. Now busy editing and mixing with the wonderful Cécile Lenoir! Many thanks to our label “Signature“ – stay tuned for the release November 2019!
We are very excited because yesterday we recorded for Frank Vaganée on his piece “Two Small Bags and Ten Million Dreams”. The song features our long time friend and teacher David Linx as well as Tutu Puoane and the Brussels Jazz Orchestra.
We had such a great time recording the music, hanging out with David and meeting the crew of ACE Studio in Aartselaart. The song will be for sale on the BJO’s website in the near future and the funds gathered around the sales will go to support groups for refugees. We will perform the piece on June 20th at the Ancienne Belgique.
Great things happening!

We just finished a 4 day residency working on our new project called “Modern Tales”. Moritz Baumgärtner came all the way from Berlin to work with us on the music of John Hollenbeck. So far the music is pretty wild! We also had a visit from Roger Vantilt who took some nice pictures of the band.
In other news, we are performing next week at The Music Village on Thursday March 10th! Don’t miss it! We are also working on a recording session with the BJO for a concert later in June!
Here’s Brussels Vocal Project singing at the Ceremony of Les Magritte du Cinéma last February! Dree Peremans wrote us a great arrangement of Fly Me To The Moon featuring the ceremony master Charlie Dupont himself.
