Gilles Wiernik has been living and studying voice in Brussels, Paris and New York. He sang in operas such as “Hygiène de l’Assassin”, “Les Amours de Ragonde” at Printemps Baroque du Sablon, “La Bohème” at Lyric Theater of New York and “Persée” at Festival Baroque d’Ambronay. Gilles also acts and sang roles such as “Le Malade Imaginaire” at Théâtre Jean VILAR and Cirque Royal, “Songe d’une Nuit d’Eté” at Théâtre National de Belgique. Gilles collaborates with Garrett List and sang a solo part of his work “Etat de Siège”, a Théâtre National de Belgique creation. He toured with a vocal group WAPPA Tonic in South America in 2012. Together with pianist Céline Lory he created “In Touch With Winterreise”, a Schubert piece. In 2012 Gilles joined Brussels Vocal Project.
Fred Braye begins his career as a sound engineer after graduating at the IAD (Louvain La-Neuve, Belgium) in 1994. He works first in the domain of live mixing for concerts.
A few years later, he starts recording and mixing for studio productions. His artistic career appears with his first compositions – fritkot, a project based on sampling of vinyls. Since 2000 he attends several classes of electroacoustic composition in France and in Belgium.
His interest for music and technologies brings him to the exploration of interactive technologies. He learns the use of sensors and programming with Max (workshops IRCAM, GMEM, Musique & Recherches, Interface-Z). Since 2007 he develops his own work as a sound artist, creating sound installations or interactive devices like zebra4 and modò.
