After training in classical and African percussion, Fabian Fiorini began studying piano at the age of fifteen. Since then, he has composed, performed, and improvised tirelessly for the following artists and/or ensembles : Les Tarafs de Haïdouks, Ictus Ensemble, Aka Moon, Octurn, Magik Malik, Gilbert Nouno, Ensemble InterContemporain, Anna Teresa De Keersmaeker, TG Stan, Le Groupov, Garrett List, Frederic Rzewski, Philippe Pierlot, Pierre Vaiana, Kris Defoort, Fabrice Murgia, Christophe Hermans...
He often works with the music of the old masters — J.S. Bach, F. Chopin, R. Strauss, K. Weill, D. Scarlatti, T. Monk, C. Parker — to highlight new auditory perspectives. Since 2011, he has been teaching improvisation and Advanced Training in Contemporary Language at the Royal Conservatory of Liège, and since 2015, jazz harmony and A.I.M. (Applied and Interactive Music – Music for Image Composition) at ARTS² in Mons. He is one of the thinkers and founders of the M.I.T.O. section (Improvised and Oral Tradition Music) – 2022. He has composed numerous soundtracks: La Ruche, L’âge Mûr, En attendant la deuxième vague, Drosera, Merckx, La Cage, Heysel. Together with Amélie Hayoz, he co-composed the musical Paris Cancan and the pocket opera Pilgrims.
